Motorola ATRIX 4G

BUILD & DESIGN

The Atrix 4G starts off with a tablet shape dominated by a 4-inch, qHD (960 x 540) touchscreen.

Given the size of its display, this isn't going to be a particularly small device, but not as large as some of its rivals, like the HTC EVO 4G or the Dell Streak.
What's really going to set the Atrix 4G apart from its rivals will be the docks, and how this smartphone will act when you plug it into them.

Despite its name, the multimedia dock is going to basically turn this phone into a simple PC. Three USB ports will let you plug in a keyboard and mouse, and there is also going to be an HD video-out port.

The laptop dock will look like a thin and light netbook with a port on its back to plug a phone in to. It is going to have an 11-inch display and a full keyboard and trackpad. A large battery will provide power for the screen and to recharge the Atrix 4G.
When the smartphone is inserted into either of these, a full version of the Firefox web browser will open. This is going to give users the same browsing experience they are used to on their PC, including support for multiple windows and Adobe Flash.
Firefox will be available only when the device is docked. When the device is on its own, it will act like an other Android OS-based smartphone.
