SONY ERICSSON   Concept Phones

Sony Ericsson XYTOZO Features a Snapdragon CPU, 8.1MP Camera

Esato board user RKSynth recently teased us with one of his new phone designs, the Sony Ericsson XYTOZO. The device now gets fully pictured and specced after the break. It comes with a 3.5 inch HVGA display, an 8.1 megapixel camera and a 2 megapixel front camera with face recognition.

There’s also a Snapdragon CPU on board (768MHz), 256MB RAM and 8GB ROM. This is a pretty interesting Sony Ericsson design… What do you think?

Sony Ericsson 3G is All About Touchscreen and Handwriting/ Symbol Recognition

Sonny Lim, a designer from Singapore has created a pretty interesting Sony Ericsson concept phone, dubbed the 3G, that’s based on a simplistic method of communication. Sony Ericsson 3G uses its large touchscreen display, allowing the users to draw symbols and write text and numbers with the thumb on a nine-dot matrix.

It’s like children’s finger-painting and the basic idea behind the handset is user-friendliness and the resemblance to natural writing. Also, it turns out that drawing a character is faster and easier to do than searching for a letter on a tiny keyboard. This visual input method is very useful, specially for people who don’t use English language.
We’ve also got to admit that the phone looks pretty hot and sci-fi, specially with that greenish color.

First Sony Ericsson Concept of 2010: XPERIA Android Model by Remort1

Esato board member Remort1 created a pretty nifty Sony Ericsson concept phone, the very first design of 2010, an XPERIA handset with a cool 8.1 megapixel camera. There’s also a full touchscreen display on board and the device runs Android, as shown in the image below.
It’s going to be an interesting year for SE designs, don’t you think?

Sony Ericsson Touchscreen Walkman Concept, by Jerome Brown

A couple of days ago we showed you Jerome Brown’s cool iPhone Slim concept and now we have another device to check out, made by the same designer. This time, we’re dealing with the Sony Ericsson touchscreen Walkman pictured below, coming with built in speakers in the touch pad area and also subwoofer speakers.

The handset also packs a 5 megapixel camera with night light, plus the ability to personalize the touch light screen numbers and side lighting (available in 50 different colors).
All of these feats are packed within a compact phone, that looks pretty nifty, specially on the front side, due to the original design.
[thanks Jerome]

Sony Ericsson WakeUpPhone, Cellphone and Alarm Clock at the Same Time

Designer Carl Hagerling created an interesting Sony Ericsson concept phone, blending a cellphone with a device that most of us use daily: the alarm clock. It’s true that such devices have died out, in favor of the ones incorporated in phones or watches, but such an idea could give the alarm clocks a new twist.

Sony Ericsson WakeUpPhone shows the time and also works as an alarm clock that’s wake you up in the morning. The Swedish designer of the handset incorporated a tilted display into the concept, perfect for the alarm position, in order to give the user a better view of the time, while sitting on the bed.
This device draws its power from two AAA batteries and also packs a Walkman player, camera and a power button.

Sony Ericsson New Walkman Concept, Designed by Sealover94

Esato board user sealover94 is back and he has shown the world a teaser of his new Sony Ericsson Walkman concept phone. This looks like a touchscreen music phone, quite a thin one, but there also might be a sliding part in there, tons of gigs of memory and probably a cool 8MP camera at the back..
Android anyone?

Sony Ericsson iMPERIA is a Touchscreen Multimedia Phone

Remort1 is a fresh name among the designers on the Esato board, but his creation is pretty decent: the Sony Ericsson iIMPERIA concept. This touchscreen phone is both a music handset and a cool cameraphone, as it sports an 8.1 megapixel camera at the back with flash, autofocus and video recording (we suppose).

Beneath the screen you’ll notice a couple of keys, among which there’s a Home button, a Call and Reject Call button, plus another 2 keys for menu features. I wonder if this is an Android handset or a Symbian one, considering Sony Ericsson’s latest preferences.
I wouldn’t mind seeing this as a fresh XPERIA device, specially due to the name resemblance and we look forward to seeing more projects from designer Remort1.

Sony Ericsson Impersa Teaser Available

Esato board member Shane A. Bygrave is getting ready to unveil a new Sony Ericsson concept phone, dubbed the Impersa. This handset seems to be a slider, if we’re not mistaking and all we’ve got right now are our speculations and a teaser of the phone.
Sony Ericsson Impersa Teaser Available
We can spot a camera at the back and probably a Xenon flash, but there’s a bulky thingie at the top of the sliding mechanism which might as well be a very impressive camera sensor or some cool gaming accessory. All of these may be dispelled in a few hours, but boy, we like to speculate!

Sony Ericsson Camari, Uber-Cool Landscape 12 Megapixel Cameraphone

This is probably the best poster for a concept phone I’ve seen lately… Esato board user tob!s created the very nice 12 megapixel cameraphone Sony Ericsson Camari. The handset also comes with a Walkman Player, Clearbass technology and a very cool landscape full touchscreen display.

The 12 megapixel camera supports autofocus and that’s about all we know about this Sony Ericsson concept phone. Too bad that Miley Cyrus appears on the screen and not some other more talented artist and all in all, if you want a comparison, the handset looks like a futuristic car stereo.
We’re sure that more pics of Camari are coming and we can’t wait for them.
